Jana Chinners, PA-C
Owner and Founder of Core Wellness
Jana is a graduate of Charleston Southern University, she earned her degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Biology in 2013 before completing her medical training at Eastern Virginia Medical School in 2018. With a diverse background in primary care, urgent care, and medical aesthetics, Jana founded Core Wellness with a clear purpose: to bring accessible, high-quality healthcare and true wellness opportunities to a small-town community that deserves more than just sick care.
Jana is passionate about redefining healthcare by focusing on prevention, education, and whole-body healing—helping patients address the root causes of illness rather than just managing symptoms. Her vision for Core Wellness is to create a space where individuals and families feel known, supported, and empowered to live healthier, more vibrant lives at every stage.
She deeply values strong patient-provider relationships and believes healing happens best when care is personal, thoughtful, and centered on the whole person—mind, body, and lifestyle. Jana is excited to lead Core Wellness into this next chapter, expanding wellness-focused care across the Lowcountry and throughout South Carolina so patients can truly “heal to the core.”
Outside of the clinic, Jana is married to her college sweetheart and St. George native, Nick. Together, they are raising their two energetic boys and embracing the joy and pace of family life in their close-knit community. As a family, they love spending time outdoors—whether it’s being on the water, enjoying boat days, or soaking up time together at home in the backyard. These moments outside of work continue to inspire Jana’s passion for helping families live healthier, more connected, and more vibrant lives.

When you walk through the doors of Core Wellness, you’ll be greeted by Josie’s warm smile and welcoming presence. As our Clinical Office Assistant, she plays an essential role in creating a positive patient experience, ensuring every individual feels cared for, heard, and supported from the moment they arrive until the end of their visit.
A proud St. George native, Josie is deeply rooted in the community she calls home. She is a graduate of Charleston Southern University, where she earned her degree in Biology, and brings over four years of hands-on healthcare experience to our team. Her passion for medicine extends far beyond her current role—Josie aspires to continue her medical journey by becoming a Physician Assistant, with the goal of one day providing direct, compassionate care to patients in the very community that shaped her.
Josie has a genuine heart for serving others and believes in the importance of accessible, relationship-centered healthcare in small towns. She is excited to be part of Core Wellness as it grows, helping bring high-quality, personalized care to St. George and surrounding areas while adding a thoughtful, personal touch to every patient interaction.
